SO MANY SOCIAL SITES THAT ARE POPPING UP ON THE INTERNET.
Social Sites-how many are you a member of and use on a regular basis? Some of them have the strangest names and I am sure whoever thought of them meant them to mean something that pertains to the site and what it does. Some of their names are pretty obvious but some are just downright funny such as bebo, tumblr, stumble upon, hi5, twitter, blurpalicious, Farkinda, hedgehogs, jappy ticker, ketnooi etc.
Do you ever wonder about the people who named these sites were thinking of when these names came into being and put on the internet? Why the names, what do they signify or were there a combination of things to bring about the naming of the sites? There seems to be thousands of them on the internet and trying to join too many of them would be just a little crazy. I mean who can keep up with checking each of these sites frequently. There are some I am a member of that I haven’t visited in a long time, simply because there aren’t enough hours in the day to do so and run my business. I think most people are members of specific ones that they use on a daily basis to get their business seen globally, Which makes perfect sense. Some of them are for fun and games and anything else that you can name and that caters to everybody and their preferences.

Will All Illinoisians be able to find affordable Health Insurance?
In 2010 the General Assembly passed a bill that mandated a health insurance exchange be established. This means that those who live in Illinois can be a part of a competitive marketplace and who are not insured can shop for an affordable health care plan that encompass all their needs.
Because health care insurance continues to increase, small businesses and families in Illinois are being hurt, making it impossible to take care of themselves. The economy has caused health insurance premiums to increase by an unbelievable 181%, more than it was 6 years ago.
If the competitive marketplace exchange is lowered it will strengthen the bargaining power of all families and small businesses-supposedly. All those who are in need of an affordable insurance are encouraged to call their representatives to vote “YES” on Senate Bill 1313 and make sure consumer needs are being represented.
Senate Bill 1313 will be handled by a governing board to determine how the exchange will operate in Illinois and to ensure the voice of the consumers and small businesses have proper representation.
Although Senate Bill 1313 maybe represented on the governing board, this still doesn’t mean all families and or small businesses will be able to find health care insurance that they can afford. More and more people are being laid off from their jobs, although if you listen to the news reports the economy is improving. This maybe true but not where it’s noticeably showing in the state of Illinois.

I'm an optimist. I've always believed the future is going to be better than the past. And I also believe I have a role in that. The great thing about human beings, myself in particular, is that I can change. I can do better. If you can get up every day, stay optimistic, and believe the future is better than the past, those few things get you through a lot of tough times....Jeffrey Immelt

Stuck in a Rut? 7 Ways to Live Life to the Fullest
By Carly Young, Special to LifeScript

1. Don’t Try to Buy Happiness
Would you be happy if you had a hundred new pairs of Jimmy Choos or a brand new BMW? Maybe at first you would, but as time went on you’d “just want more, bigger, better and different in a never-ending fashion,” explains Alan Gettis, Ph.D., author of The Happiness Solution: Finding Joy and Meaning In An Upside Down World (Trafford, 2006). The pleasure centers in your brain come alive when you score the perfect skirt or a great pair of jeans, but the feeling fades. After all, if you could really buy happiness, everyone would have bought it already!
If you still believe money is the secret to satisfaction, consider this: According to a University of Illinois study, the Forbes 400 (the wealthiest billionaires in America) and the Maasai tribes of East Africa (simple, pastoral herdsmen) exhibit the same levels of happiness, regardless of their monetary differences. In plain English: Money doesn’t buy happiness.
2. Go for Girl’s Night Out
Could seeing a movie with your pals save your life? Maybe so, when you consider that loneliness is a life-threatening condition that can raise your risk of heart disease and depression.
Connecting with friends counteracts stress and spurs the release of oxytocin, a neurotransmitter that soothes and calms. Maybe that’s part of the reason women have been gathering in groups for centuries, grinding corn, knitting quilts or weaving baskets. “Instinctively, we know it’s good for us,” says Rebecca Radcliffe, motivational speaker and author of Hot Flashes, Chocolate Sauce, & Rippled Thighs (EASE, 2004).
It helps to have a close group of friends, but it’s also important to interact with people outside that circle. Every kind of positive interaction, from smiling at the waitress to chatting with your neighbor, can boost your mood, says Radcliffe.
3. Answer the Call of the Wild
Claude Monet once said, “The richness I achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration.” Take his advice and make a date with MotherNature. It will lower your stress levels, strengthen your immune system and leave you feeling blissfully tranquil.
Can’t spare time away for a weekend camping trip? You’ll reap the same benefits from a quick stroll through the park or an afternoon spent gardening. Even a glance at a tree-lined street or blue sky through your office window will boost your mood and productivity.
4. Make the Little Things Count
So, your alarm woke you up on time for work this morning. If that thought doesn’t make you jump for joy, ask yourself what would have happened if the alarm had failed? You would have woken up late, rushed out the door, forgotten your briefcase and arrived at the office disheveled. Worse, what if you hadn’t woken up at all?
On a typical day, a million things go right, says Gettis. The shower has hot water, your favorite cereal is in the cupboard, your car starts and your computer turns on. “We’re often on auto-pilot and don’t appreciate the good things around us,” he notes.
It’s human nature to rubberneck at the accident on the freeway. But instead of seeking out the bad, focus on the good that’s right in front of you.
5. Pursue Your Passions
“Passions ignite us and keep us going,” says Gettis. But some of us are so entrenched in our daily lives that we’ve lost sight of them. Radcliffe suggests asking yourself this question: “If God came to you and told you to go after your dreams right away, what would you do first?”
Stumped? It’s time for a blast from the past. What did you love to do as a child? Which clubs did you join in high school? When did you last feel truly happy, and what were you doing at the time? The answers can help you rediscover your passions. For more ideas, make a list of things you’ve always wanted to learn, and then learn them. Dance the tango, study German, take up rock-climbing, play the guitar, write a poem…anything goes as long as you’re doing it for you.
“Giving an outlet to our creative selves satisfies a hunger that cannot be filled in any other way,” explains Radcliffe.
6. Forgive Yourself
Airlines have a limit when it comes to carry-on luggage. Pity we can’t set limits on ourselves when it comes to emotional baggage. Dwelling on past mistakes only prevents us from being happy in the present.
“Focusing on the past is a trap,” says Gettis. The key to forgiving yourself is to understand and accept your own history and to learn from your mistakes. How have they made you stronger and wiser? Use the lessons of the past to make better decisions today.
Forgiveness is an ongoing process. It can take months, even years. But in the meantime, “focus on creating a fulfilling life in the present,” suggests Gettis.
7. Live in the Moment
Cocktail hours, social events or a day off work can be great fun. But what about the rest of your life? What about the time you spend at work or running errands? If we only have isolated moments on the calendar to live for, we’re in trouble.
Most of our lives are made up of seemingly mundane moments spent pumping gas or standing in line at the grocery store. Yet we often dismiss these moments. They don’t count, we say. They’re not a part of our real lives. With this attitude, you’ll waste 80% of your life, notes Gettis. “If there’s anything resembling a magic bullet or a key to the universe, it’s the ability to be fully present…here and now,” he explains.
It is a mental attitude that expects good and constructive results. However, it does not deny the existence of negative results or things beyond one’s control. It is a way of looking at things from a different perspective. One that concentrates on solutions rather than problems.
Positive thinkers know that when things go bad or unexpected result occurs, it is only momentary. That positive result is achievable.

2. Check all investment products.
Most investments are some form of security that must be registered with your state securities regulator or with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Find out how to contact your regulator on the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) website at www.nasaa.org/about-us/contact-us/contact-your-regulator/. If it's not registered, don't invest!
3. Check to see if the investment is a good fit.
Even if the product is registered, you need to carefully consider if it is right for you. Are you comfortable with the level of risk, your ability to access your funds and length of time before you will see a return? Are there high withdrawal penalties?
4. Checkout the background of the person.
Is the person properly licensed in your state or with the SEC to sell this product? If not, beware. To check on an investment offer or sales person, check these sites:

I don’t want to fit into the crowd
I will sing my song and sing it loud
‘Cause to be myself i am so proud
I had to look inside, break my ties
To some that might come as a surprise
On matters such I won’t compromise
I have lived that life and fought the tide
To all and myself I only lied
But that was me and my foolish pride
They say empty vessels make most noise
I was class clown to all of those boys
My heart was lost, forbidden of joys
Back In them days I was out of mind
Decisions I made, I can’t rewind
Those days I have had to leave behind
The changing seasons I must embrace
And fight my battles, and run my race
But it will be me who sets the pace.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe; he looked poor and hungry.
He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.
He said, ‘I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.’
Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad
enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.
As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid.
Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.
He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, ‘And think of me.’
He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.
A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed that the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger.
Then she remembered Bryan ..
After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill.
The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.
There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: ‘You don’t owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.’
Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.
Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to
serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard….
She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, ‘Everything’s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.’
There is an old saying ‘What goes around comes around.’ Today Let this light shine. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes puts people in our lives for a reason.

DO THE INGREDIENTS IN DIET SUPPLEMENTS REALLY WORK OR IS A TRICK ON THE USERS?
There are millions of diet /weight loss supplements, powders, foods, smoothies and now coffee on the market that claims you can and do lose weight by using their product. But really, how true is that? When using any of these products can you still eat the foods you want without giving up your favorite food and still lose weight? Or are people conditioned to think that these products really help them to lose all the unwanted weight? The first thing any of the products tell you that in order for your weight loss to succeed you have to cut back on portion size, sweets, breads and certain carbs.
If you cut back on portion size and the no-no foods you eat, don’t you lose the weight anyway without the products that are suppose to be the cause of the weight loss? Just saying. I see why the weight loss industry is a million dollar industry-people only believe they can lose weight with all the products that are being offered on the market. Supply and Demand is up, and people are claiming the product they use are the cause of their weight loss. I often wonder if that is true. If you add drinking 8 eight ounces of water per day and do some moderate exercise along with cutting back on food intake, you do and can lose the weight.
But the producers of all the diet products knows they are on to a good thing with people wanting to be that perfect size and being told that they can only lose weight with the help of diet supplements. This billion dollar business seems to be growing even as we speak.

HUMAN IMMORTALITY-IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A HUMAN BEING TO STOP AGING AT 25
I have often thought about immortality and it's effect on humans. Is there a genetic code that can be developed for the human body to stop it from aging? And not only stop aging, but also stopping diseases from attacking the body and destroying it from the inside out. Wouldn't you like to stop the aging process of the body by age 25 to remain young looking always as the years go by. Although it may not exist, possibly it may occur hundreds of years from now, if the Earth still exists.
Scientists have found that: After spending many years and billions of dollars on research, man has come no closer to attaining immortality than when the first fish sprouted legs and crawled out of the ocean.
Nature on the other hand has a few species that appear to be far superior in their ability to live a prolonged life.
Biologically speaking, immortality is defined as – the absence of a sustained increase in the rate of mortality based on chronological age. An organism or even a cell that defies the aging process, or actually stops aging at a specific time, is considered to be biologically immortal. A life that is has been determined to be biologically immortal could still be vulnerable to death caused from something other than age – including traumatic circumstance or disease
Scientists have found that there are species in which immortality occurs on the Planet Earth:
HYDRA - a many headed serpent that lives in freshwater, having at one end a mouth surrounded by tentacles. In Greek mythology when one head was cut off, two heads grew back. Since they live in Freshwater they do not experience Senescence, or the aging process.
TURRITOPSIS NUTRICULA - is a type of jellyfish that because of its immortal ways has been able to adapt to life in bodies of water the world over. They are mainly located in the Caribbean waters. When this jellyfish reaches its sexual maturity, it transforms itself into an adolescent or polyp phase of its life by the cell alteration process known as transdifferentation. This practice continuously duplicate itself for an indefinite period.
COLONIZED BACTERIA – manages to replicate itself per cell partitioning. The mature parent bacteria divide itself into two matching daughter cells. The daughter cells in turn divide in two themselves and the procedure continues to duplicate, thereby the bacterium colony would be considered for all intents and purposes immortal. After each cell reaches maturity, it continuously duplicates itself in twos.
BRISTLE CONE PINE - This pine tree is thought to be immortal since it is currently the oldest existing species at four thousand seven hundred eighty nine [4,789] years old. There are trees that have existed for a longer time period known as “tree colonies” which consist of genetically equal trees that form a component of a single live organism and maintaining an expansive below ground root structure.
Although Immortalization of a Human Being doesn't exist today, there is nothing written to say that it can't or will not happen one day. And just not any immortal, what about a paranormal immortal. Not "just Saying" but who knows what God has planned.

A Healthier You And A Healthier Body
With obesity being one of the main factors affecting a large number of us, AARP published an article stating what problems it can cause. I wanted to share this informative piece with everyone.
The article was written by Elizabeth Agnvall, Health-AARP.
“A widening waistline is often the curse of middle age — and not just because it can be unsightly. Those who store fat in their bellies are at higher risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and certain cancers.
And unfortunately, that's most of us. In the United States, more than 50 percent of men and 70 percent of women between ages 50 and 79 now have a condition as "abdominal obesity."
Your expanding middle carries two kinds of fat — subcutaneous fat you can see and pinch, and visceral fat, which surrounds the abdominal organs deep inside the body. Subcutaneous fat, which also is carried in the hips, thighs, arms and legs, may be unwanted, but it's not particularly dangerous.
ACTIVELY HAZARDOUS
Visceral, or belly, fat, on the other hand, is hazardous to your health. Numerous studies show a link between a large waist and a higher risk of death — even among people who aren't overweight. In fact, researchers now say your waist size, which generally reflects the amount of visceral fat you carry, may be a better predictor of disease than your BMI (body mass index)
"It's location, location, location that matters," in real estate, and that goes for fat, too, says Philipp Scherer, of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Until recently, scientists thought fat cells were simply storage units for excess calories. But researchers now consider visceral fat an active organ, like the liver or pancreas. "Our views of fat have changed over the last 15 years," says Scherer.
Visceral fat actually secretes hormones and lipids — such as triglycerides — that are harmful to the body, says David Cummings, M.D., professor of medicine at the University of Washington Medical School. It impairs the body's ability to use insulin, increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes. And it triggers the inflammation that can cause heart disease. Cummings says women's risk of heart disease rises after menopause to the level of men's because that's when women begin to accumulate belly fat.
There's also strong evidence visceral fat may cause colon cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. Moreover, this dangerous fat is associated with a higher risk of rectal, pancreatic, endometrial and postmenopausal breast cancer.
Recent studies also have linked belly fat to poor brain health.
So how do you lose belly fat? Experts say there is no magic formula, but it can be done, and it's not as difficult as you might think. When you use the classic combination of diet and exercise, visceral fat often goes away first.
FORGET CRUNCHES
Workout videos and glossy magazines promise that crunches, sit-ups and other abdominal exercises will banish belly fat. Not so, says Colleen Doyle, director of nutrition and physical activity for the American Cancer Society. These exercises will tone and strengthen abdominal muscles, but they won't melt away the fat. " You can't spot-reduce," says Doyle, who recommends finding a physical activity you enjoy and doing it regularly — whether it's walking, or playing tennis.
And a note to smokers: Beware of trying to control your appetite and weight through smoking. Swiss researchers have reported that smoking actually causes people to redistribute their weight to the belly area“.

CHANGE JUST GOT EASIER
Change is a part of life. Life can be reimagined and recreated by you no matter what situation you find yourself in. The way things are structured now is due to the downfall of the financial economy or just retired, many people have recreated themselves and moved on to something they truly love. Recreation of self goes thru cycles: reflection, connection, exploration, choosing, repacking and acting. Life reimagined will help you figure out your challenges and goal. Once you know those, then you can start discovering your possibilities. These possibilities can be endless. If you have challenges that prevent you from going after a goal that you have longed wanted to do, downgrade that challenge into what closely meets that goal. If you are not at retirement age, restructure a hobby or possibly something you can make an income from a home business such as subcontracting out your profession. If you have retired and still very active, focus your imagination on another project that you enjoy and want to give of self by helping others or possibly forming a team of other like minded individuals being available to teaching others on subjects that may help improve their lifestyle. Enjoying life is what it's all about and imaginations can blossom into something really wonderful and goal fulfilling. There are those who were in fields that are a total 360 degree turn from what they went to school to become. Doing what you enjoy is only realized by the few.

"The world always makes the assumption that the exposure of an error is identical with the discovery of truth - that the error and truth are simply opposite. They are nothing of the sort. What the world turns to, when it is cured on one error, is usually simply another error, and maybe one worse than the first one." ~H.L. Mencken
